Dev. Ops Specialist
A pioneering software company is looking for a skilled Dev. Ops Specialist to join their growing team, develop their skills and impact the growth of the company. We are a leading provider of text and unstructured data analytics applied to intelligent document and email management systems. Our semantic analysis solutions are used in a wide range of industries and sectors, from government to public sector, to large multinationals, national infrastructure organizations and small and medium-sized businesses.
As a key member of our software engineering organization, you will work with developers and software solutions staff to oversee code releases, by combining an understanding of IT development and environments for the deployment our solutions. From creating and implementing our solutions to analyzing data to improve existing software, the Dev. Ops Specialist with experience in CI/CD practices will help increase the overall productivity of the company. The Dev. Ops team is at the heart of operations, development and QA.
Training:
Documentation Technician or Archivist or related training and experience.

Responsibilities:
- Systems analysis (provide support for urgent analytical needs).
- Good knowledge of continuous deployment/configuration management (CI/CD management software to automatically deploy updates and fixes to production, test and QA environments using tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.)
- Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux)
- Develop, build, install, configure and maintain IT solutions
- Project planning (organization of tasks and time-management for Dev. Ops resource)
- Testing code, processes and deployments to identify ways to streamline and minimize errors.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting
- Performance management, gap analysis, identification of alternative solutions, etc.
- Documentation (writing specifications and documentation for server-side functionality)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good understanding of software development practices
- Favors rigorous processes
- Very experienced with Agile development practices
- Good knowledge of IT management
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French Ideally, a degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with source code management tools, continuous integration tools, team management and visualization tools.
- Agile Development: 2 years (Desired)
- Code testing: 2 years (Desired)
